Best restaurant Wellington Boulcott Street Bistro

Words from diners who have experienced our Wellington restaurant.

“Ideal for a celebration”

Four of us dined at Wellington restaurant Boulcott Bistro recently to celebrate graduation from uni. Such a special event is deserving of a special meal. We were not disappointed at all. We were served delicious food which arrived timely and without fuss. Service was efficient but not invasive. We were so delighted that a wonderful day was topped off with a wonderful dinner. Happily and will return in the near future.

“Fun”

Two of us arrived, chatting with other diners in a relaxed atmosphere. The service at this Wellington restaurant was absolutely impeccable we had lamb, cooked and presented beautifully with Veggies again cooked beautifully.
By the end of the evening, we had a real party going on among ourselves and almost all the other diners. I think the waiter enjoyed it as well. When he brought our bill, he brought an entire plate of mini chocolate truffles for all to share.

“Birthday treat in Wellywood”

What a gem! Location fantastic old house. Service impeccable. Food great choices fantastic result. Allergy friendly perfect score. Great romantic night out. An absolute demand amongst the skyscrapers.

“The quality never drops”

We ducked in here one night when the traffic was really heavy and there was no point joining the queues, and stayed for dinner. I’ve dined at this Wellington restaurant numerous times and the quality never drops. The beef fillet is their signature dish and it never fails to impress, and they have a wonderful wine list. It is one of Wellington’s best, and I recommend it for a treat.

“Xmas present from our kids”

We had this night booked by our daughters and paid for as a treat. It certainly was. Having not been here for some 20 years it was nice to see it humming and busy. The service attentive, and there was a nice mixture of families and couples. We started with calamari and the house made ravioli both delicious. The snapper and crayfish bisque were followed by the strawberry vacherin and the sticky date pudding. Beautifully presented and great portions. Fantastic food fantastic night. They had no mocktails in the menu but kindly obliged to making us one with elderflower, mint and lime. Complimentary small dark chocolate truffles followed with our tea. Great service great food. We will come back with our girls.

“Superb!!!”

As they don’t take dinner bookings, we arrived early and it was soon full. The staff were all friendly and efficient. We ordered the aged beef fillet steaks, they were cooked to perfection and delicious! Although it came with excellent fries, you might expect a vegetable to be included for the price. Extensive quality wine list on par with top Wellington restaurant prices. The sticky date pudding was divine! Can’t wait for our next visit to Wellington as we would certainly return!
